Ladakh, known as the land of high passes, is part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and often referred to as "Little Lhasa" due to the similarity in its culture and landscape with early Tibet. Ladakh is one of the least explored region of India and did not open up to tourists until the mid 70s. This land is renowned for its friendly people, diverse, mystical and untouched culture, snow covered peaks and magnificent lakes.
