The best time for a trek in Ladakh is
July to October. Ladakh offers every type of trail, from
easy, to moderate and tough treks. Remember, you should
acclimatise before attempting any strenuous trek.
Zhanskar (in Kargil), known for its
unique landscape and culture, is usually strenuous and
we discourage beginners from selecting such a trek. It
is remote and isolated and provides people who enjoy
nature in its original form, a spectacular experience.
Trekking around the Leh district is a
fascinating experience and is suitable for beginners. A
trek in Leh over moderately high passes will take you to
Markha Valley, Stok Village and Hemis Monastery.
You can chosse any trail from the lists
of treks given below. In addition, we provide
tailor-made services, even to the more remote areas of
Ladakh, which are not listed below. This gives
individuals and groups of any size a chance to fix their
own dates and budgets and, with our advice and guidance,
plan for the perfect itinerary. Your personalised
itinerary can be low budget or luxury, for any period
and our in-depth knowledge of Ladakh will ensure that
the more complex details are fully arranged.
Just let us know which treks/areas
interests you the season you wish to visit, the
approximate duration, the number of people and the type
of accommodation required in the major towns. We shall
then provide you with a detailed itinerary with the
costs for your approval.
We look forward to being your guide in
paradise. Julley
